Is this made from real wood?
Yes. Every worktop is handcrafted from 100% solid European oak. It is not veneered and does not use edge banding.
What is included with my order?
Your order includes the solid oak worktop only. Legs, wall brackets, screws, fixings, and mounting hardware are not included.
What is the difference between the two finishes?
The Raw — Not Oiled option is supplied unfinished so you can apply your preferred protective product. The Oiled — 3 Coats option is finished with three coats of Borma Wachs Hardwax Oil 1030 Plus.
Does the raw worktop need to be sealed?
Yes. We recommend applying a suitable protective finish before regular use to protect the oak from moisture, stains, and everyday wear.
Can it be used as a floating desk?
Yes, when paired with a suitable wall-support system. Brackets and fixings are not included, and the installation must be appropriate for the wall and worktop dimensions.
How much weight can it support?
Capacity depends on the legs, cabinets, brackets, fixings, span, and supporting structure selected by the customer. The worktop therefore has no standalone load rating.
Can you make a custom size?
Yes. Contact Barbara at barbara@pops.studio with your required width and depth for a quote.
How long does it take to make?
Production takes 1–2 weeks because every worktop is handcrafted to order.

Build a workspace around the natural warmth and durability of solid oak. This handcrafted 30mm desk worktop is supplied on its own, ready to pair with your preferred legs, cabinets, or suitable wall supports. Choose raw oak for your own finishing project or an oiled surface protected with three coats of Borma Wachs Hardwax Oil 1030 Plus.

MATERIALS & CRAFTSMANSHIP: Each worktop is handcrafted from 100% solid European oak. The continuous wood construction displays authentic long grain across the top and front edge, with exposed end grain on the short sides and no veneer or edge banding. Natural variations in grain, colour, and character make every worktop unique.

FINISH OPTIONS:

  • Raw — Not Oiled: Supplied as unfinished oak, ready for you or your installer to apply a suitable protective finish before regular use.
  • Oiled — 3 Coats: Finished in our workshop with three coats of Borma Wachs Hardwax Oil 1030 Plus. This enhances the oak grain and creates a water-resistant, but not waterproof, surface.

INSTALLATION: This listing is for the solid oak worktop only. Legs, wall brackets, screws, fixings, and other mounting hardware are not included. The worktop must be supported and installed using a system appropriate for its dimensions, intended use, and supporting structure. If you are unsure, consult a qualified installer.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth.
  • For an oiled worktop, clean with a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately.
  • Avoid harsh cleaning products and standing water.
  • Use coasters and desk mats where appropriate.
  • Apply a maintenance coat of compatible wood oil when the surface begins to look dry.
